Volumes of Oak Release, Barley Swine and life…

July 1, 2012     By

After 4 months of aging, waiting, sampling, thinking, pontificating, evaluating, laboring, digressing, growing and living, our first Volumes of Oak Series beers are ready for distribution.  But, we won’t be releasing any of them around town until the perfect day, which we’ve determined to be July the 8th, one week from today.

We’ve been pouring these beers in our tap room for the past 2 weekends and many of you may have tried them, or possibly even tried them in one of our kick ass can glasses.  Or maybe if you were really, really cool you’ve tried one of these beers in a kick ass can glass in our brand new barrel cellar.  Or maybe you haven’t tried them at all and never even heard of a can glass.  Either way, you will all have the chance to try our first 6 releases in the Volumes of Oak Series at select establishments around Austin, and always in our tap room in a short 7 days time.

Each of these beers has been aged in various French Oak and American Oak barrels for a minimum of 3 months and the added levels of complexity that the extended aging has provided has definitely given us an ear to ear grins for the past two weeks.

In celebration of this little expansion to our product line we’ll be joining our good friends at that jive little place on South Lamar called Barley Swine for what we are predicting to be a night of utter indulgence.  We’ll have 8 Hops & Grain beers pouring through many courses of fine food from the masterful minds behind the Barley Swine menu.  This is our very first food and beer pairing event as a brewery and we are incredibly excited to showcase 4 of our Volumes of Oak Series beers in the dinner.  The event begins at 6pm sharp and there are only 40 tickets available!

Email info@barleyswine.com for tickets or drop by the restaurant.

We hope to see you there!
